Ten Months Old

Jackson, you are 10 months old today!

Here are a few things about you at 10 months young:

You weigh 22 pounds.

You wear size 4 diapers (I just bought you your first "little swimmers" diapers for the lake this weekend!)

You wear size 12 month clothes, and recently you started wearing lots of 18-24 months.

You are eating table food, stage 3 foods, and still stage 2. You love fruit, sweet potatoes, carrots, greenbeans, cheerios, and animal crackers (just to name a few)! And you're just like you're daddy- you LOVE ranch dressing.

You drink 7-8 ounce bottles for bed. And during the day anywhere between 4 and 6. You can also say "baba". (Bottle)

You take two 2 hour naps a day. One in the late morning and one in the afternoon. I LOVE your sleeping schedule you go to bed @ 8:30 (or a little earlier) and you wake up no earlier than 9! YAY!!

You love to shake your head NO.

You sleep through the night.

You spent the night away for the first time 2 weeks ago. You did great!

You love to talk- you can say "Dad-da, Mam-ma, and baba"

You still do not have ANY teeth.

You crawl everywhere, and love to get into cabinets and Ozzie's dog food. You're a little stinker :-)

You can walk with your walker, and just a couple of weeks ago you started letting go. You WILL be walking soon!

You just learned to dance when you hear music- it is the cutest thing ever!

When Mommy says "ride the pony" (you have a rocking horse) you rock back and forth :-)

You are changing everyday, and we cannot believe you are going to be a year old in two months!

We are beyond proud of you and thank God everyday for blessing us with you! We couldn't be ANY happier!

We love you sweet baby J,
Mommy and Daddy

Friday- Relaxation and Rehersal

Friday, the day before the wedding Joshua took off work. We all four (including Dustin) woke up got ready and headed to town. Joshua and I went and got our marriage license and dropped me off at Hogan's house. The boys were headed to do a little golfing.

Hogan, Jenn, and my sister went to "Friends" Salon to get a massage, manicure and pedicure, and our hair played with :-). Talk about AMAZING! I have never had a "real" massage, and I will say this-  I will be going back! It was so much fun and I really enjoyed spending the day with those girls. Thanks Ms. Ann and Hogan for a relaxing day!!

After we finished up there we went to my house to start getting ready for our rehersal and rehersal dinner. The rehersal kind of opened my eyes up- like this is REALLY happening! It was fast and right to the point. Although my flower girl got a little shy on me! We headed to the dinner, to find a framed poster of our engagement pictures! It was awesome!! Only to keep walking and see my in-laws had decorated the fellowship hall perfectly. They had monogrammed napkins, beautiful hotpink flowers for the centerpieces, and the CUTEST place mats with our pictures that we had taken over the years!! It was very sweet and thoughtful.

Afterwards, we headed (Me and Steph) to Hogan's to spend the night for the big day on Saturday!!

Grammy and Pops,
We can't thank you enough for the perfect rehersal dinner! We are so thankful to have yall as parents and to be our Jackson's grandparents. The joy that yall bring to his life means the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to make this day special for all of us. You went beyond what we were expecting and it was so perfect. I am so happy to be a part of yalls family!

We love yall,
Joshua, Erika, and Jackson

Thursday- The Goodenough's are in town!

I'm going to try to do the events leading up to our day in a few posts! So, just bare with me, this may take a couple of days!

Thursday Joshua's cousin Dustin, (along with the rest of his family),  arrived to Memphis. Dustin stayed with us Thursday, Friday, and all day Saturday with Joshua, Jackson, and Kyle. Joshua picked him up after work around 3 and he came to the house. We love getting to see the Goodenough's, since they live so far away. Dustin had not seen Jackson at all until Thursday, and all he kept telling Joshua was "I'm real proud of you man, he's pretty cool". And calling our sweet boy "Jackson 5". He is definately a character and we LOVED having him here with us. The guy is pretty funny, and says some pretty hillarious things. We won't go there though :)

Thursday night we went to move things at the church and hung out at the house. Kyle, Stephanie, Dustin Dover, Cousin Dustin, and my sister all joined us. It was a pretty laid back night, cooking out, and just much needed catching up!

Dustin,
We enjoyed having you here! I know this was a whirlwind of events this weekend, and i'm so happy you and your family were a part of our special day. I think it would be an understatement to say you "had fun"! You are a joy to be around. You were so sweet to our Jackson, and we are thankful you took so much time with him as if you had known him since the day he was born. We only wish yall lived closer. We want you to know anytime you catch a break and want to make a trip to Memphis, you have a place to stay here! Thank you for finding the time to celebrate with us and make this day even more special. Aunt Dawn, Jack, and Ashley thank you, thank you, thank you for coming down!  We had a blast! Hannah- we missed you very much.

We love yall,
Joshua, Erika, and Jackson POSEY ;-)

Random Day.

Jackson goes to his JuJu's (his amazing babysitter) on Wednesdays during the summer since i'm out of school. I thought he should go atleast one day a week for #1. My sanity, and #2. he loves to play with his little friends there. So yesterday, we really did nothing. So today, just like every Thursday, Jackson has wanted to sleep. JuJu's WEARS him out!

The wedding is two days away and I'm still not nervous. That is the big question everyone asks me. I'm truly just really excited. My friends, including my sister, and my two future sister-in-laws, have made everything more exciting rather than nerve racking. And i'm thankful for that. Ashley has sent me text messages almost everyday this week about her excitement, dreams, and other funny things that have kept my spirits high. Hogan is getting me a massage, and the rest of us girls are getting our nails done. What more can a girl ask for?  Not to mention this sweet baby boy who has my whole entire heart. I am so so so thankful for him.

4 days to go!

Joshua and I have four more days and we will officially be Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Andrew Posey! :-) I am very excited, Joshua is too- except he called today and said he was beginning to get the "jitterbugs". I am really not nervous, don't think I will get nervous until I get ready to walk down the aisle.  I did have a little nerves going when I opened up my facebook messages, only to see a message from our photographer saying "I have bad news". She had a family member pass away and funeral arrangements are set for our wedding weekend. All is okay, we have a lady who is going to take the pictures, she came to the rescue. It could be worse! I went and spoke with our DJ today about songs, and it made me even more excited! I'm just ready for Saturday to be here!!

Jackson and I didn't do much today. My mom bought Jackson a "kiddie pool" last week and I was hoping to let J swim in it today, but we woke up to a chilly day. So we went to the country club, came home for his nap, spent a little time strolling on the square, and came home to play with daddy. We are trying to relax a little since the next couple of weeks will be full of activities.
